 Pod sock
Takes about 10g of 4ply sock yarn. Using 2.5m needles cast on 42 sts and distribute evenly over 3 needles (14sts per needle). Work 4 rounds in moss stitch (rounds 1 & 3, K1, P1 to end; rounds 2 & 4, P1, K1 to end). Change to stocking stitch (every row knit) and continue for 10cm. Next round: K1, K2 tog tbl, K15, K2tog, K2, K2 tog tbl, K15, K2tog, K1 (38sts) Next round: K Rearrange sts so that the first 19 sts are on one needle and the remaining 19sts are on another needle. Graft sts together using Kitchener stitch as follows:
Hold both needles parallel with the one with the tail of yarn at the back. Cut the yarn and thread through a tapestry needle. Insert yarn purlwise into 1st st on front needle, pull yarn through leaving st on needle. Insert yarn knitwise into 1st st on back needle, pull yarn through leaving st on needle. Insert yarn knitwise into 1st st on front needle and slip st off needle. Insert yarn purlwise into next st on front needle and leave st on needle. Insert yarn purlwise into 1st st on back needle and slip st off needle. Insert yarn knitwise into next st on back needle and leave st on needle. Continue in this way until all sts have been grafted. Fasten off.

You should now have a total of 38 sts. Next round: from marker K10, K2 tog, K14, K2 tog tbl, K10 Next round: K Next round: K9, K2 tog, K14, K2 tog tbl, K 9 Next round: K Continue decreasing 2sts in this way on every alternate round until 28 sts remain. Foot: Knit 14 rounds. Toe shaping: Next round: K4, k2 tog, K2, K2 tog tbl, K8, K2 tog, K2, K2 tog tbl, K4. Next round: K Next round: K3, K2 tog, K2, K2 tog tbl, K6, K2 tog, K2 K2 tog tbl, K3.
